Edgefield County Deed Book 22, p. 427 - 429, Thomas Ellis is mentioned as having adjacent land of a transcation between John Gorman to Moses Walton. Deed, 24 February 1801, $150, on hundred acres being part of 700 acres originally granted unto sd John Gorman on
Great and Little Saluda Rivers, sd 100 acres at Mill Creek adj Samuel Berry, Moses Walton, Spring Branch, Thomas Ellis.
 

1809, November 2 - p. 363, Edgefield County, SC Deed book, 2 November 1809, mentions 100 acres of land on Bird Creek. Plat shows that this land is adjacent to land owned by Thomas Ellis, Samuel Hawad (Hayward?, Howard?), Ambrose Price, John and Ambrose Price.

Joseph Tucker to William Blakely and others, Obligation, 26 March 1792, Joseph Tucker bound unto William Blakely, Thomas Ellis, and Shadrack Stokes in sum One Hundred Seventy Pounds sterling, payment to be made unto sd Blakely, Ellis, Stokes. Condition land surveyed by William Goode D S on 20 March 1775, 183 acres it being part of a larger survey made at same time of 283 acres (some business arrangements here omitted) on
cuffetown, Bird, and Cyper Creeks. Wit Ludwell Stokes, Barr Stokes, 11 October 1806. ?s? Joseph Tucker.
